The historic center
From Vomero it is easy to go down to the city’s historic center with the funicular. Strolling amongst the streets of Naples, churches, buildings and museums will leave you awestruck and enchanted by the view of Piazza Plebiscito where the statue of Canova and the basilica of San Francesco di Paola compete with the beauty of the splendid Palazzo Reale. Via Toledo is only a short distance away. It is filled with banks and luxury shops and is considered Naples’ city center. Nearby, the neo-Renaissance Umberto I gallery, with its mosaics and coffee shops, offers a moment of well-deserved relaxation.

Ischia, Procida and Capri

The three pearls of Naples’ gulf. Enchanting, romantic and striking. The bigger one, Ischia, has volcanic origins and is famous for its curing and relaxing thermal waters. The mild climate and fascinating landscape mix with the hospitality of the people and the intense island fragrances.

With beautiful beaches, rocky coastline and crystal clear waters, nearby Procida was a land of great inspiration for poets and writers in addition to screen writers that have immortalized its incredible landscapes and colorful houses on film.

Going towards Capri don’t miss the chance of renting a boat and going to Grotta Azzurra, cala del Rio and Punta Carena with its lighthouse. Continuing onwards you’ll reach the part of the coastline rich with surprising natural caves and a little further onwards you will be left spellbound by the view of Capri’s symbol: the Faraglioni (the typical huge rocks of Capri).

The Sorrento Peninsula

Embraced by the blue ocean and bright green vegetation, the Sorrento Peninsula offers surprising landscapes and important cultural evidences. Starting from the age-old Greek, Etruscan and Roman city of Castellammare di Stabia, admiring the cathedral, go up with the funicular to mount Faito, where an extraordinary terrace with an exciting view of the ocean awaits you.

The rocky promontory of Vico Equense and its wonderful little bays take you to Sorrento, one of the most sought after tourist destinations. Between a limoncello (type of lemon liquor) and lace you will discover a fabulous city, rich with culture and tradition; a must see are the Greek and Roman statues preserved in the Correale Museum of Terranova. Punta della Campanella and the Baia di Ieranto conclude this unforgettable itinerary right in front of Capri.

Shaded by the Vesuvio, this is an extraordinary opportunity of seeing the most important remains of Roman civilization.
Pompeii was built on a volcanic plateau and bears witness of the violent eruption that swept it away together with Herculanium and buried it for seventeen centuries; an extraordinary place. Amongst the many splendors, the Foro with the basilica, the temple of Apollo and the home of Diomedes.
